Dreams

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." My all time favorite quote from Walt Disney. Dreams . . . Why do we have them? I can attempt to answer that: we have dreams to set goals for ourselves. Without goals, we would not have the ambition to make anything of ourselves. We would all be the same, not individuals. On that note, all our dreams are different. In the movie, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Professor Dumbledore tells Professor Snape that "in dreams we enter a world entirely our own, we can swim in the deepest ocean, or fly over the highest cloud." Everyone has a different dream. We all want to see them come true, but we have to work hard to make them a reality for us.

Welcome!

Hi! This is a blog about being yourself and doing what you want even when its different from what others do. A quote I have read is "Be who you are and you will set the world ablaze," - Saint Catherine of Siena. This blog is also about courage, being able to stand up to your friends as well as your enemies. With that thought I would like to give you one of my favorite quotes: "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends,"  - Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (written by J.K. Rowling). Although, you don't have to be fearless to have courage. Nelson Mandela once said, "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” Sometimes it takes courage to find yourself. . .
